Elle Exxe, the stunning Scottish singer-songwriter, has just announced the release date for her upcoming debut album. Love Fuelled Hate will be released on the 9th of September this year. She has also revealed her striking new single ‘Lately’, released on May 6th. It’s the first single to be taken from the upcoming album. ‘Lately’ premiered with 1883 magazine who described the track as “infectious electro rock pop”.
The electro-clash starlet returns with a swaggering blast of kick-you-in-the-face pop rock. The pounding anti-ballad sees Elle Exxe proclaim, “this is not me, you stole my sanity,” in sultry Rihanna tones delivered with a Gaga flair.
1883 magazine’s statement about ‘Lately’ is the exact summary of the whole single. Not only that but it’s also energetic and empowering, we blame the pounding beat and rhythm of the song. It’s almost as empowering as “We Will Rock You” by Queen but Elle Exxe’s single is on a whole new level. This is one song that you can put in your “YOU CAN DO IT” playlist. Just listening to it will make you feel like you can conquer the world. The lyrics may slightly be tinged with darkness but that just adds to the vibe of the whole song.
